Sync Emails Sent from Gmail or Outlook

To sync emails started in Gmail or Outlook, you will need to add a BCC email unique to your account.

To capture all communications, always add the BCC email to emails originating from Gmail or Outlook.

How to Sync Emails Sent from Gmail or Outlook

Go to Settings >> My Profile and scroll to the Email (2-way sync) section.

Copy the Auto BCC Sync value

This email is unique to each account.

Go to your email (Gmail or Outlook)

Compose or Reply to an email and add this BCC value to an email

This allows you to add specific contacts into your CRM instead of all contacts.

To Initialize Connection

  • Go to Contacts
  • Select a Contact (your test contact)
  • Send them an email from their Contact record

The first outbound email needs to be initiated from the CRM to establish the sync

Make sure the email in the sending is the same as the one connected to the CRM.

All subsequent messages in the email thread (initiated from the CRM) will be in sync. Outbound

emails sent from your email will start reflecting in the CRM and vice versa. reflect

An email thread initiated from your email will not sync with the CRM. Only email threads that were formed from the CRM will be in sync.

If an outbound email was sent (while the sync was in active state) and later the sync was disconnected from the CRM, the subsequent messages in the thread will stop syncing. This will also stop syncing new outbound emails sent from the CRM.

New Contacts From BCC

After your initialized the connection from the CRM to your Outlook or Gmail, BCCing an email to the CRM will create a new contact.

  • You can now create new contacts directly from your Outlook or Gmail mailbox ðŸ¤©
  • Add the ‘Auto BCC’ address to the CC or BCC field while sending an email in Outlook or Gmail.
  • 💥 Your contact will be automatically created, along with the conversation in the CRM
